A museum for the kids
 
The musee Fournaise offers its educational workshops to primary schools, high schools and leisure centres during school the holidays.

 
It offers a great opportunity to discover the area through the maison Fournaise’s history. The visit of the museum contributes to a better knowledge and understanding of the Seine region, the impressionist painters and the boaters’ lifestyle.

These workshops’ themes change every six month in accordance to new exhibitions.
 

Duration of the discovery itinerary: 1h 30.

  • A conference during which the young visitor comes to understand the paintings and the artists techniques.
  • The workshop : Each student creates an artistic piece that illustrates the technique on the agenda.
  • Educational booklets are given to the teacher who can then complete the lesson back in the classroom.

The aim of these workshops is to initiate the students’ critical and analytical appreciation towards the arts and history.
